How to use

Import your MP3
Tap "Choose MP3 File" and select any MP3 from your Files app.

Trim to 30 seconds
Drag the handles on the waveform to select your clip. Pinch to zoom in for more precision. The Length chip shows your current selection duration.

Preview & adjust
Tap Preview to hear your selection. Enable the Loop button to keep it playing while you fine-tune. Adjust the Fade slider for smooth transitions.

Tap "Trim & Save"
The app will process and save your ringtone as an .m4r file.

Share → Use as Ringtone
Tap the Share button, then select "Use as Ringtone". Your iPhone will set it immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see "Use as Ringtone" in the share sheet?
The "Use as Ringtone" option only appears for .m4r files. Make sure you tapped
Trim & Save first — this converts your MP3 to the correct ringtone format.
If you're sharing directly from History, it will also work correctly.
My ringtone is longer than 30 seconds — will it work?
iPhones support ringtones up to 30 seconds. The app allows you to trim up to 30 seconds and
shows a ✓ indicator when your selection is within the limit. We recommend keeping it at or under 30 seconds.
The waveform is flat / not loading
The waveform is generated from the audio file after import. If it appears flat:
- Try tapping "Change" and re-importing the same file
- Make sure the MP3 file is not corrupted
- Check that the file is a valid MP3 format
Can I import songs from Apple Music or Spotify?
Songs from streaming services (Apple Music, Spotify) are DRM-protected and cannot be imported
or trimmed. You can only use MP3 files that are stored locally on your device in the Files app.
Where are my saved ringtones stored?
Saved ringtones appear in the History tab. From there you can re-share or
set any previously saved ringtone as your ringtone again at any time.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes — Ringtone Studio works fully offline. All audio processing happens on your device.
No data is ever sent to a server.
